Anime Anyone?

Postby ditzwill » Tue Oct 07, 2003 14:22:12

So who likes anime? Besides me, I mean. I thought I'd make a list of the series and movies that I've seen.

Series
Trigun
Neon Genesis Evangellion
Martian Successor Nadesico

Movies
Akira (I don't remember it *at all* but I know I've seen it)
Nausica of the Valley of the Wind
Castle in the Sky
Metropolis
Ghost in the Shell
Princess Mononoke
Macross Plus
Spirited Away

I am not very good at spelling some things like anime names so I've probably massacred a couple of these.

I am soon going to lose a good portion of my anime collection because it was on loan from my friend Donovan who is coming back from AIT next week. However, now I'll just have to watch it over at his house. I really need to buy my own copy of Trigun. I've seen a couple episodes of a series called Serial Experiments Lane and I want to see the rest of those. There is also one called Record of the Lodoss War that I haven't seen any of, but saw at an anime shop and it looks good. I've also been told that there is one called Ninja Scroll or something that is really good. I have a bunch of movies that I haven't ever bothered to watch, too. I feel really dumb for borrowing them and then never watching them. Of course, like I said, I can just watch them with Donovan now. :}

I enjoy anim?, and suggest checking out the first one that got me hooked, "Fist of the North Star". It is old school anim?, very excellent.
I will have something here... at some point...

Akira rocks, as does Vampire Hunter D. Princess Monoke was cool. Ghost in the Shell was off-putting to me.
I know it's not the right thing.
I know it's not the good thing.
Can't I want to?

Oh yeah, I forgot about Vampire Hunter D. There are two versions, aren't there? I can't remember which version I've seen, but it's one of them. If there aren't two versions, I guess I've seen the only one. :}

Pokemon are evil and all of them must therefore die.

NO, don't fall for their trick!! They make you think that they're all cute, cuddly and fun, when in reality they're just pure evil!! They're trying to brain wash you. Save yourself while you still can!!!

<sigh> Then I'm afraid all is lost. I have to kill you now. No offense. All in the name of defeating Pokemon.
