Well, with the chat of it a few times, and a few topics about what is or was or could be, I thought to make this post. Since now there is actual activity, please feel free to make up a list, alter, or what have you to the actual list. Suggestions and the like are welcome, as for the actual number of posts, well, that can be altered (and will).

since only a few humans (3, actually) have surpassed the old cap (from 200 - 250), I would most likely make a big number gap (ie, from something like 250 - 2000 or something like that, continuing the ilst).

As noted, this above list is not final. Or, one could simply add to the list, starting after Keyboard Smasher.

Reminder: There is a difference between the above rank and "special" ranks, such as the one I have (and Sewcute, Mair, cmpxty7, Monkeybone). A special rank does not change despite how many posts you make. Anyone who would like a special rank, this early into my new boards "existance" is more than welcome to it... with Madd having the actual final word

i have no alterations to your list. as i see it, it's your board and you assign names as you wish. new users have names according to their activity - well, i suppose for a reason. how serious are they about participating (?) and such.

i have NO complaints about my name, in fact i'm quite happy with it !!

i am a fan of *not* noting the number of posts for those who are relatively active. i just don't understand why it would matter one way or another once a person has shown an interest in they board.

Well, to some, it is like a compitition, and some people are more competative than others, so it means something to them. Others, like the interaction of it all, and that means something to them. You would have to ask someone such as Melissa, who is very into the ranking system, what makes it so special to her. I still cannot read minds (I still have some coding to work out on that, hehehe).

we are just different in that way. it doesn't make me understand their desire for numbers. we are just different that way.

I think you have to get high enough to have a "special" name. or maybe it's just high usage?

Special names are given by the board administrators, and can be done so at any given time. You need not post at all to get one.
