Totally Bummed

Postby Mair » Fri Sep 28, 2007 15:02:38

So, today was my weekly weigh in. I found I have gained half of a pound. OH MY GOSH. You have GOT to be kidding me. I have worked my BUTT off this week. Yeah I cheated on Tuesday, but that shouldn't have given me the results I got.
So, I'm giving up. Just for now. And just a little bit. I'm still taking this weekend off and then starting up on weight watchers on Monday. Since I've given myself a 37 lb head start, maybe I'll be able to lose the rest on weight watchers. If I find it's not working for me, I will go back to South beach in November. But we'll see.
Right now...I'm STARVING and don't have stomach to eat this piece of chicken I brought. So maybe I'll go down to Palmers on my lunch and get a chicken salad sandwich. I LOVE those from there!!!!!

don't give up, I hear there is usually a plateau people will hit, and that might be where you are.

You can be assured that I emptied myself out (pee-wise)
No I haven't pooped in a few days (if you really want to know). I have issues with that.

My ambition can't take the plateau. So, I'm hoping that this exercise will really help.
I am so discouraged, but not enough to give up.

are you keeping track of other measurements besides weight? You definitely should. Especially if you started exercising - most people lose in inches before weight with exercise. And most people do plateau with diets - stick with it as best you can & you'll get over the hump :)

I'm not actually going to the meetings. I have paid weight watchers enough of my hard earned money. I'm just doing the plan and weighing myself.

I have to. I thought at one time that I would have more incentive to actually DO the plan if I was paying for it and having someone else weigh me. I found out after many dollars spent that isn't the case. I'm either going to do it if I REALLY want to or I'm just not going to. I KNOW I'm going to do it now, so I don't need someone else to weigh me.

I am usually a little better if I have someone that is accountable with/for me, which is why I think going to the weigh ins will help.

I just need to find out about HOW to sign up

You can go to weightwatchers.com and look for a meeting near your house and the times they meet. Then you just walked in anytime 30 min before the start of the meeting and tell the receptionist you need to join. She'll give you a sheet to fill out (just basic info like name/address) and then you're good to go. After the meeting, they'll have a short session for the newbies so they can explain the program to you.

Yes absolutely. They will give that to you during the little meeting at the end when they introduce the program to you. They MIGHT give it to you when you first weigh in at the beginning before the meeting, but my meeting place started giving it afterwards to force you to stay to the introductory meeting. Depends on how they do it where you go :)
