Hit me Deep

When the mind comes in contact with in and outside world, interesting things can happen. This forum is for the talk of everything philisophical and psychological. Pyschology and philosophy (PaP) have run my life for a long time, and if ever you want to get Madd's attention, anything of PaP nature will do just that.

When you say 'taken with' you mean to be taken by the Aliens? That would be an... interesting trip...

Going along the lines of things being irreducibly complex, or your DNA examples, I don't see any head way for people wishing to argue against 'God's Will'. Can you tell me the counter argument for things being Irreducibly Complex, and so have to be 'designed'?

Hmm... I am not exactly sure what your question is asking. Are you asking if I have anything stating "a definite design" (ie God does exist) or are you asking if I have the opposite?

Yeah, I'm asking if there is or could be an argument against irreducible complexity.

very much so. one could simply argue that it is just a large probability shot in the first place, similar to the lotto, only much more. the odds of winning the lotto go beyond the "rational" to play it. a joke goes that the lotto is a tax for those bad at math... yet... people DO win it, and others could argue that point. that everything randomly happened by chance.

of course, I could also argue that a person is nothing more than a brain in a vat, or just a dream created by another being... and there is no 100% chance way to disprove (or prove) any of it

Ah. I'm familiar with the "anything-can-happen-by-chance" argument. It's one of my favourites.
