STAR WARS Family Guy?

Postby Stingray » Mon Sep 24, 2007 9:34:59

It was hillarious and very well done. They used some footage of the actual movie and some of the animation actually matched the exact scenes from the movie! It made me want to watch Star Wars all over again. Very funny stuff thrown in there in true FG style. And there were a couple great movie references in there, including 2 classic ones from Airplane! and even the Grizwald family made an appearance!

My only beef was that they left out some key lines like "Great shot, kid, that was one in a million!" The end was kind of anti-climactic.

Anyone else see it? What were your thoughts?

Since nobody replied to this...I will.

I can't stand the Family Guy. I find this show extremely offensive, so I haven't seen this episode.

so do I, I mean some of the things the parents say, and just the attitudes that they can have!

I have watched it occasionally, but I just can't get into it!

I LOVE Family Guy!!! I have no idea what you are talking about, though, with the Star Wars episode, so apparently I missed it. :( I am not up late enough anymore (usually) to catch any of Adult Swim. Too bad - the shows crack me up...I miss it.

I missed this episode also, even though I am most certain that I could find it on the web somewhere... even post it to that special forum that does not exist

O:)

I would really like to see it, however, epsecially if they have an Airplane reference in it!

Shirley it does, and don't call me shirley!
I will have something here... at some point...

There's something about the fact that it is so offensive and they make fun of everything, including their own show and network that that becomes the charm of it. I'd say South Park is more offensive. But, anyway, the show's certainly not for everyone out there!

I agree that southpark is more offensive, and I can assure you I don't watch that show either.

This thread reminds me of the clips episode they showed before the 100th episode where Seth McFarlane (creater) was interviewing people who didn't like the show. It was hilarious. :)

I saw part of the Star Wars episode. I have yet to see all of it. I laughed really hard when I heard Peter say "Don't get penis-y kid". 8)

Haha, those interviews were pretty funny indeed. "Would you recommend Family Guy to anyone?"

Agreed, I think they could've gone further with the FG crossovers... While it was funny, I soon after saw the Robot Chicken spoof of Star Wars (which they do reference at the end of Blue Harvest), and I was about ready to pee my pants at some of the spoofs.

Yeah, I though it was great that Seth Green, creator of RC and voice of Chris, tells Peter how RC already did it, and Peter argues about it. That is just damn funny, and I am sure a lot of people who only watch FG did not catch the reference (I have RC season 1 and 2 on DVD).

I am REALLY looking forward to the RC version of this. I am not sure what season it is on, is it on three?

http://imdb.com/title/tt1020990/

States release date of 17 June 2007. Season two ends as episode 20 "Book of Corrine", released 19 November 2006, with Season 3 starting 12 August 2007 "Werewolf vs. Unicorn"... so... this episode seems to be floating between the two, and I have not caught all of my disc two yet.
I will have something here... at some point...
