This goes out to my Cubbies, who are in a 6 game losing streak, and about 7 back in the wild card race with a record of 54-58. GO CUBS GO!
Mr Woody at work asked yesterday, the reason I have not switched teams and started to root for someone else.
IT IS BECAUSE I BLEED CUBBIE BLUE!!

I think it very sad, being the Cubs fan you are, that the last time this thread was updated was over 2 years ago.
Just thought I would let you know that Cubbies won again tonight 5-3 against the Cardinals. So they are still winning in their division (or whatever you would call it). Looks like the Brewers are up by 3, though, in the bottom of the 8th. So your Cubs may not be very far ahead, but they are still in the lead for now! I am thinking they really need to hold onto that lead, because they aren't even in the top 6 for the wild card :/

yeah, I saw the score online, and was VERY happy, and yeah, sad it has been forever and a few years since I updated anything in here
um, we are not in the top six for the wild card because we are the current division leader. division leaders do not ever show on the wild card spot unless they drop the division lead...

so, the Cubbies won again last night - they are 1.5 games in the lead, according to the news this morning. YAY for you!
Are you prepared to buy world series tickets, just in case? I would fully expect you to go - I would make you if I had to (which I know I wouldn't).

I do not think I would be able to score WS tickets... I would buy them if they went on sale, and skip work if need be... they would have to deal.

Um, hello - that is why God had someone create Ebay! If you wanted it bad enough you could get it. All those people that go to the world series' & superbowls get their tickets somehow.

this is true... sell them for about a 75% mark up
division tickets appear to be going on sale this Sat or Sunday at 0800... something about a virtual waiting room, how crazy is that?
